I don't recall seeing rabbit.
The food is good and I would have spent twice as much for food that's half as good if I would have eaten at the airport instead of waiting to get here first. I got their barbecue pork and potatoes and it was delicious!
First of all. We can’t say anything about the meet quality. We didn’t buy something for home, but to eat there. We had various takeaways and couldn’t even enjoy one. It was simply not our taste and way to strong spiced (Pastry and Spareribs). As we love markets and think that we have a strong opinion about what’s good we wanted to share even this experience. The shop and the employees seemed very friendly!
This place is located in the Ferry Building and is like a small deli. Lots of people are around here at lunch with busy business people looking for eats. I ordered a chili and though tasty, was also watery and not that thick. I also got an egg salad and believe there was a bit of egg shell in there. Also, no forks or spoons were provided. I am curious why they pack their foods in plastic, non-compostable (but are recyclable) bowls. Not sure if I would return.
Great quality meat. Not cheap but worth it.
Grabbed a quick breakfast sandwich before grabbing the ferry to Alcatraz. No complaints on the egg & cheese sandwich!
wide variety of meats including some items you probably wont find in your local market such as duck, squab, guinea fowl, kobe lifter meat, suckling pig. It may seem pricy at first but if you look around carefully you can find some deals. Also features a walk up food bar featuring chicken, sausages and pizza
Very knowledgeable staff. If they don’t have what you are looking for they will call you when it comes in. Prices are fair, quality is high, meat is sourced locally.
Bought sausages and a few other items here. The sausages were moments away from going bad and very clearly old. The other items were cured meats and not bad. Wouldn’t risk buying other meats here
Always great for a quick bite, pastrami sandwiches, or sausage on a stick, good selection of meats to take home, some groceries are to be had here too.
It is a good space they are good and friendly
Stopped by at breakfast, and their breakfast sandwiches were delicious!
This might be my favorite place ever. Such an incredible selection came for the A5 wagyu and was blown away by selection of everything else. Making a purchase here was like buying a diamond ring, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience amazing!!!
The food is very greasy and salty, although it is American food, it is high in calories, especially lemonades, it is incredible how they can sell this food, without imagining the damage they cause to people's health, hopefully whoever consume it do it in moderation.
This place is just on point! best cajun/specialty meats in town.. the sausage n chicken gumbo.. Amazeballs!
Even before I discovered keto I loved me some meat, and the Golden Gate Meat Company makes every trip to the Ferry Building a more fun excursion. To start, I always stop off for a sausage-on-a-stick. They offer two varieties, one spicy, one mild with a bit of a fennel touch. There are both raw meats on sale and prepared foods, like beef or pork slathered in a very tasty barbecue sauce. Often my last purchase at the Ferry Building is a bag of meat, destined for a short stay in the fridge.
The Ham Kaiser Roll breakfast sandwich is delicious.
Butcher
Yesterday I went to the ferry building and bought some salami from SF meat Co., specifically the Finocchio salami. I’ve recently moved back to the bay area from a three-year stint in Italy which is where I had first had this kind of salami and I was missing it dearly. My expectations for an American version were fairly low, so I was blown out of the water straight into pork heaven by how delicious the salami was. It was different than the Tuscan variety to be sure, but so beautifully composed that it was an artform all on its own. The fat and salt content were balanced and well distributed, the texture was firm and perfect for both thin and fat slices, the flavor? Exquisite. It is the best salami I’ve ever had in the United States. Bravo
Why I love this place? Cuz it's yum yum, that's why! :)
While being a bit pricey, GG Meats has some of the best aged, prime grade meats in the City.
Barbecue pork ($ 3.58)I got only pork, not in a sandwich or a wrap. My order was a half of the smallest container, which was enough for one person. I got just a little bit of sauce. I think the pork itself was soft enough, but not seasoned enough, which can be complemented with sauce. I had it with baguette which was great, and I think it would also go well with soft buns.
Exceptionally good butcher. The staff are extremely knowledgeable about their products and super helpful. The quality of the meats here is just stunning. I bought out Turkey for Thanksgiving from here, as well as various extras (stuffing, cranberry sauce etc). And I also bought a bone-in ham from Llano Seco farm for our Christmas dinner. I was delighted on both occasions.
Hours during COVID are Tuesday through Saturday, 7am until 4pm.
Great breakfast sandwiches ready to go.
I stopped yesterday after eating at Hog’s oyster bar and asked if they could provide me with boneless beef short ribs in a Korean marinade for making Korean barbecue. These superior butchers produced exactly what I was hoping for in a very few minutes. We cooked it at home eaten with rice and lettuce leaves burrito style. Thanks guys! Your marinade EXCEEDED my expectations and the BEEF was tender and beautifully cut
Excellent. Has breakfast sandwich. Great. Quick.
Large selection of locally sourced meats. Beautiful fresh cuts. Delicious Italian sausage.
